13th Symposium on Biological Monitoring: 9 – 12 September 2025

Proceedings

The proceedings of ISBM13 will be published in the international journal La Medicina del Lavoro – Work, Environment and Health.

La Medicina del Lavoro is the world’s oldest occupational health journal. Founded in 1901 by L. Devoto under the name Il Lavoro and renamed La Medicina del Lavoro in 1925, it has continuously evolved to address contemporary issues in occupational and environmental health. Today, it is an international, peer-reviewed journal published in English and indexed in leading biomedical databases. All papers are also accessible through long-term repositories such as Portico and PubMedCentral (PMC).

You can visit the journal’s website here: https://www.mattioli1885journals.com/index.php/lamedicinadellavoro

The journal is fully supported by SIML, the Italian Society of Occupational Health, and offers free open-access publication, waiving any processing fees. Its Editor-in-Chief is now Antonio Mutti, co-founder and past officer of ICOH-SCOT, and I serve as Associate Editor. We both encourage submissions relevant to Biological Monitoring in Occupational and Environmental Health.

For 2024, the journal’s SCOPUS CiteScore is 4.3, and its Clarivate Impact Factor is 2.0.

We invite authors to submit their manuscripts (commentaries, reviews, or original articles) by 30 September 2025. All submissions will undergo regular double-blind peer review. Upon acceptance, they will appear “online first” as citable previews. We reserve the right to decide whether to set up a special issue or accommodate the papers in regular subsequent issues of the journal, based on the number and variety of submissions received.

We invite authors to submit their manuscripts (commentaries, reviews, or original articles) specifying in a footnote on the first page “presented at the 13th ISBM, Milan, Italy.
