Abstract submission guidelines

General rules
You are welcome to submit an abstract. Only one abstract per registered delegate can be submitted. The abstract must be submitted by the deadline, which is the 28th February 2025, midnight. Abstracts can be submitted for poster presentation or for oral communication. The final decision whether an abstract is accepted as a poster or as an oral presentation, or even rejected, lies with the reviewers and the ISBM13 Scientific Committees. The communication of acceptance will be sent by the 30th April. Authors with an accepted abstract must register to the congress by the 15th June if they wish to have their abstracts included in the program and in the abstract book. Authors that wish to publish their contribution to a scientific journal (to be identified), can send the manuscript within the 30th November 2025 to the journal. The submitted manuscript will undergo the peer review process.

Announcement of Bursaries
There will be three bursaries for supporting the attendance at the ISBM-13. Each bursary is to be used against the conference registration fee and the accommodation in Milan for the nights of 9, 10, and 11 September 2025, associated with attending the conference with an oral communication. Eligibility to apply for a bursary is restricted to students from low and middle-income countries. To apply for a bursary, you must be a student of LIC and have to provide the following documents:
– a certificate to prove you are a student
– a motivation letter
– an abstract for evaluation
The main criteria for granted the bursary will be the content of the abstract and the motivation letter.

Submission guidelines
– The prerequisite for submitting an abstract is that it represents original work.
– Abstracts must be submitted in English language only.
– The abstract must be related to one of the congress topics. Choose your topic (maximum two) during the submission.
– Any pictures, attachments or similar are not allowed/will not be displayed.
– Do not add references to abstract. – Please ensure complete listing and correct order of all (co-)authors, correct formatting and grammar.
– For each author, add the affiliation (maximum 2 for person).
– Accepted abstracts will be printed and published as they have been submitted. Once submitted, it is not possible to make any corrections to the abstract content or information (above all authors list and details). Changes will not be included in the publications.
– If you want to withdraw an already submitted abstract, please notify us as quickly as possible at info@studioprogress.it stating the title and author of the abstract to be withdrawn.
– Fill your abstract using the following abstract template

Abstract Format
Title: BOLD, 12 POINT ARIAL FONT, CAPITAL LETTERS (max 200 characters).
Authors: 11 point Arial font, superscript numbers are used to indicate the affiliations.
Presenting author: name must be underlined.
Affiliations: to be listed below the author names with 11 point italic Arial font.
Text of ABSTRACT: 11 point Arial font, single line spacing, no more than 250 words (structured in Background, Materials and methods, Results, Conclusion).
